MISSION
New Moon Creative Media’s mission is to tell stories that enlighten, inspire and encourage positive change; whether it is a story based on little known historical facts, our changing environment or the inspiration behind a song. We believe great stories are affecting. They can change lives by offering different perspectives. Great stories enlighten and entertain. Great stories can be a positive force by promoting healthy individuals, vibrant communities and a sustainable environment. Those are the stories we tell.
CREW
Our production crew has more than 50 years of award winning video production and broadcast experience. We love what we do and are always seeking fresh and inventive ways to create and disseminate our work. We love to have fun. It helps keep the creative juices flowing. On our sets you will have fun too.
Denise Allen Membreño – Executive Producer/Owner
Denise is a former television sports reporter and morning show anchor. Growing up in Arlington, Virginia, you would find her on the soccer field or basketball court playing with the boys. Being active has always been a part of her life. She has run three marathons and has set
a goal to run her fourth, “America’s toughest road marathon,” the Blue Ridge Marathon. She left television to start New Moon Creative Media and has won awards for her historical documentaries. You may also hear her anchoring NBC News Radio. She enjoys hiking with her daughter, organic gardening and watching BBC dramas such as Dr. Who, Sherlock and Merlin.
Jason E. Lisk – Producer/Director
As an accomplished producer, director and editor, and occasional DSLR photographer, Jason Lisk has been visualizing the world through a camera lens for over 25 years. His favorite works consist of long-form productions for Cox Communications highlighting Roanoke history, outdoor activities, arts and culture.
He’s not one to run away from a challenge either; he has been called “Magic Man”, due to his knack for creating something from nothing, more than a few times.
When he’s not peering through a lens or shuffling video clips around during an edit, you can find him hiking one of the many trails in the Roanoke area with his two Labradors or sitting in a darkened theater taking in an edge of your seat action thriller.
