New episodes will continue to be broadcast on Fox Radio Roanoke, 104.3 FM and 910 AM in Roanoke, Virginia, as well as on our Facebook page and YouTube Channel. While that remains the same, there have been a lot of changes at Sisterhood of the Second Act since the first season wrapped in July 2021. When the new episodes begin you will see we have a new set! It is the same room with a new coat of paint and walls graced by the beautiful work of Virginia artists.
Make note of the shelves of our bookcases, too. You will see their art and pottery there, as well as the literary work of women authors, several who make their home in the Roanoke/Smith Mountain Lake areas.
The artists are from The Earthworks/Artworks Gallery in Vinton, Virginia. They represent a wide range of styles and media. You will see different works of art each month.
Our host Kathy Heberle has a new look as well. We are excited to announce a partnership with Cabi Stylist Darlene Marshall. Marshall is providing a Cabi wardrobe for each of Season 2’s 13 episodes.
We are proud to work with another woman owned business. You may remember Marshall was a guest in Season 1 on Episode 2: Travel and What to Wear. She showed us how to create multiple outfits with just 5 pieces of clothing. Her talents are helping to raise the bar in Season 2.
The New Moon Network Shop
Also new this season is The New Moon Network Shop. All the artwork on the walls and bookcases is for sale. In addition to the art and pottery you will find Sisterhood of the Second Act and Roots2Rock show merchandise. Purchasing from the New Moon Network Shop not only supports the artists, but the original content we produce at New Moon Network. That includes not only Sisterhood of the Second Act, but our live streamed music show Roots2Rock, and upcoming cooking and gardening shows.
Season 1 was a wonderful experience. We featured 26 amazing women on topics ranging from finance to party planning, stroke awareness to travel, advance funeral planning to dating scams. You can take a look at those episodes by clicking this link.
We are looking forward to introducing you to more great women as we enter Season 2. They include a World Champion wakeboarder, mothers who have lost children to gun violence and a woman who learned to speak up for herself just in time to save her own life. That is only three of the shows we cannot wait to show you.
